or the OTHER END with or without a bearing

a normal end bell off a junk motor you guys do blow up motors right ?
I may have to cut or adapt one to work or swap bearings

as nobody seams to know if there is a standard code or frame size number for our golfcart motors that one can order from GE or other motor makers

stupid idea is there a code for the new a/c motors being used in carts ?
as they bolt up the same right ?
or if any AC type motors are the same dia and spacing

I have a 2 hp DC GE motor you can have for free. Just took it out of an 88 Marathon. 19 spline I believe. Have no idea if it works or not as I bought the cart for the frame.

Nota you will probably be better off just buying a new motor that is self contained and more suited for your situation. They even have water cooled versions.

Found this as a reference https://www.thunderstruck-ev.com/

He's attempting to replace a 10 hp diesel inboard on a 5000 lb. sailboat. I told him a couple years ago that I have serious doubts about this working. Not only do I think it won't work, I see the possibility of creating a dangerous situation because of wind and currents, etc. because of the lack of torque/power.

dude I have about the same time wet as dry
long time sailor most of the boats never had motors
few that did were seldom used

I am the guy who does not throw money at stuff but like to try to do it my way and sometimes just to see if it can be done SUPER CHEAP
el motors are not a mystery we raced silver wired slot cars with custom winds
for different tracks amps ect back in the 60's

and have rigged el out boards on several small boats
the limits are mostly battery size/power not the motors WITH LEAD
but solar and regen with the el car battery packs from wrecks
should allow a small bit of range/power WITHOUT A HUGE EXPENCE
and the power will be used on the boat for lots of other uses in addition to just the motor

if you know nothing being quiet is a virtue
as you have nothing to add

btw the size type or other data for cart motors is kind of odd

vast charts are listed for A/C motors by size power ect

DC has zip on line
