Newer 4 Wheel Independent vs Previous Swing Arm
I have a new 2022 Yamaha Powertech AC PTV which now comes with the 4 wheel independent suspension. They changed the rear suspension to strut style independent rear suspension (IRS)). For those who have experience with both new and previous setup, what are your opinions on ride quality of the (IRS) vs the previous rear setup of a unit swing arm with coil springs over hydraulic shock absorbers.
I was considering getting a factory 6 seater, but I believe only comes in the Concierge model, which does NOT have the IRS in the rear, and instead still has the previous setup of a unit swing arm with coil springs over hydraulic shock absorbers instead of IRS. Is it possible or would it even be worth upgrading to IRS? |
