Default G29 Drive brakes and rotors

Hey all! New to golf carts, just bought an '07 G29 Drive. Brakes do this grinding thing when coming to a complete stop, so assuming the shoes are spent.

I'm having a hard time finding shoes and drums for the G29 Drive. Everything is either '82–'07 (up to G9) or Drive 2. BuggieUnlimited has shoes that fit almost every year of every cart which seems sus.

And I saw in another post where someone recommended doing the entire rear axle. I'm down with that, except it looks like I'd be piecing that together part by part. Might order a fork, too, so I can stab my eyeballs out.

Would love any insight on doing these brakes and finding parts.

Thanks!

Does your cart have a Team axle? That has internal wet brakes. You have to disassemble it to replace the brake parts.

As Volt says, a 07 Drive has the internal wet brake, no drum brakes.

If that's the case, there are several threads here on how to rebuild the wet brake. First off, I would change the fluid if you haven't done that recently. Yamaha recommends every four years for that. Use the Yamaha diff fluid - it's special for the wet brake.
