Darn these Bifocals!!!!!!
Well, I must admit to speed reading, Looking for a diagram. But you are right there it all is..... In yellow and red! Just wanted to see. It is exactly as I understood it would be. I went the 48v charger route.

I did it to both of mine but, both were resistor coils, so real simple! But now I want to put the 480 controller in the CC. I'm waiting on the pot. (so to speak, he. he.) I may have a few questions. Like where to mount the controller? The wiring seems pretty simple per the diagrams that came with the unit as long as the pot wiring is well marked...I am curious to see if the cotroller conversion is going to worth the investment or if the cart runs about the same as with resistor coils. What is your experience?

But the explanation gornoman has is really confusing, can someone spell it out for me, I couldn't follow his logic... Thanks!!!

real easy the negative curent closes your circuit so if you have 8 bats (6volt)
hooked in series every two batery are 12v so if you have a 36v charger you place the negative from the charger on the last bat and th pos. on the third and then you take a 12v charger and put the neg. on the second and the pos. on the first this way you are isolating the packs without disconecting from each other you could also use this with 3 small 12v chargers ($25@walmart) to charge a 36v pack

You said that you were a certified painter, you should at least have your own painting how-to section or something. Painting, for me at least, is the hardest process in restoration. Engines, easy; mechanics, easy; paint AHHHH!
