GTW Small Design Problem

Kind of a small design problem with the GTW Mach3 rear seats...

150 yards down the muddy driveway and the rear tires are kicking up mud and its splattering all over the rear seat area.

If I fold the seat down into its cargo position, both corners of the vinyl seat get caked in mud from being upside down.

I think I'm going to see if I can find some kind of rigid plastic.. PVC or HDPE and bolt it to the bottom of the foot rest and cut it out to mate with the rear contours so it closes the gap between the foot rest and cart body.

That’s gonna happen to any seat kit when you have tires sticking out past the fenders.
You might need Mud flaps.

I just need to close that 4 inch gap between the foot rest and the cart body.. All the mud is coming up through there.

The fender flares (front and back) stop 98% of the mud (and water spray) from getting onto the cart body.. been really impressed at how effective they are.. but that 4 inch gap is a problem.

I'm thinking of a sheet of expanded PVC.. its rigid, light weight, and shouldn't break if its impacted... and its cheap.
