Default Disconnecting the Oil Pump Yamaha G1

Was wondering if the only thing the oil does is mix with gas? If so should I disconnect? And the proper mix would be 100:1? I just want to make sure so I don't mess it up.

Yes it only supply oil disconnected mine two summers ago running 100:1 works great it's not a matter of if but when the injection pump stops working and you tost the motor no more fuel than these things burn it's not a big deal to mix up a tank full every once in awhile

What is the proper procedure? Burn the hoses so no air goes through?

On mine I clipped the hose near the carb and plugged it with small machine screw there is cleaner ways to do it but just make sure it's sealed so it cant suck any air and on the exhaust I just took the fitting out and welded the hole shut... As for the pump it's self pulling the lines off is fine I actually took it all the way off and took out the gears that drive it when I had the motor out and apart for a rebuild
