Default Controller or motor?

Have an early g29 converted from 12v to 8v batteries that ran fine for most of today. Later it stopped running. Has a new set of batteries. Solenoid ok, cart is getting voltage through the system to the controller. Solenoid clicks with pedal. Reverse buzzer and regen braking not working either when it did run. The controller is setting off the solenoid so I'm not sure if its a controller issue or motor? Is there a test I can do without removing the motor and taking it apart? Thanks

The reverse buzzer issue indicates reverse switch, wiring, or controller. Not sure about the rest.

Yes I'm aware and the reverse switch is getting 50 volts so it's good

You can disconnect the motor and test it for unwanted continuity (aka shorts)
There should be continuity between both A terminals and there should be continuity between the 2 F terminals but, no continuity between any A and any F terminal.
Be sure to label the wires before disconnecting them.

Also test between one A terminal and the case, also between one F terminal and the case. Make sure the windings arent shorted to the motor frame.

Thanks for that. Also can’t I apply 12v to the motor just to make sure it turns? I have to place a jumper bewtween 2 terminals and then connect negative to one side and positive to the other terminal. I just dont remember which ones I apply power to/jump lol I understand these Moric controllers suck but I’m suspicious if it’s the controller or not because the solenoid is firing.

I don't know about that so I can't say but I would also like you to remove the short positive cable from solenoid to controller. Then turn the cart on and press the gas to activate the solenoid. Make sure your battery voltage is coming through the solenoid, ie that the post you just disconnected reads 50v from there to the negative battery pack wire (on the controller is most likely the easiest place to find that)

Here ya go. This test is for sepex motors only. I usually use a 12v car jump start box for this test.

Thanks for diagram. So what’s your thought on it cgtech? Cart ran fine most of day then stopped. New batteries. Getting 50 volts from key switch through harness to solenoid and controller. Solenoid fires when pedal depressed. No reverse buzzer or rollaway breaking even before it stopped running. Sound like controller or motor fail?

Stock controller & motor?

I'm thinking controller, but the motor test is so quick & easy, don't spend a dime until motor is ruled out.
