03 DS IQ OBC delete, solenoid stays on
I have an 03 DS IQ, i took out the OBC when i dropped in the lithium batteries. I jumped the white and blue wires. Unfortunately my solenoid is staying on so it goes to safe more if I stop. At first a two speed electric cart was funny, not so much anymore. What have i done wrong.

Bad (welded) solenoid. Because if it was closed from the controller logic you would not be in safe mode.

If I cycle the key the solenoid cycles as well. im getting 24 in normal, if i stop it goes to safety mode and i get 8. Cycle the key/solenoid and im in regular.

Well then the other reason for safe/limp mode is a bad speed sensor. Push the cart by hand and listen if the buzzer sounds. If not = bad sensor.

speed sensor tests good, I read somewhere else that if the solenoid doesnt cycle when you let off the throttle it will go in safe mode. thats whats happening, if i come to a full stop I have to cycle the key to get out of safe mode. is there another jumper setting that takes signal off the MCOR? Im jumping blue and white right now.

Re: 03 DS IQ OBC delete, solenoid stays on
Not quite, if the Solenoid is already ON without the Controller activating it before you press the pedal is what causes Limp Mode.
You likely wired something wrong during the OBC by-pass or You have something else connected to the Solenoid negative activation wire (blue/white wire), can You post pictures? |

100% the issue. i had read somewhere to ground that out to the controller ground. switched it back to the blue and white. Off she went. Thanks guys, just wasn't seeing it.
