Re: Club Car Speed link 4 Precedent Golf Cart SpeedyLink
The switch was a Diodes Inc ATS137 single hall effect switch which is listed as unipolar. I will be gone for a few days but will try to track down a frequency meter

Re: Club Car Speed link 4 Precedent Golf Cart SpeedyLink
Well, this topic is 12 pages long and has gotten way to technical for a non elctrician, non mechanic like me. 1 question. For a laymen like myself, is it best to just go to the CC dealer for the #4 code or is the after market easy to install and work just as well at getting a cart up to ~20MPH?

the aftermarket option is easy to install. check out the dude's video on the speedylink homepage. it just plugs in between the factory harness and factory speed sensor.

Re: Club Car Speed link 4 Precedent Golf Cart SpeedyLink
I just installed the speed link in my stock 2006 cc pres and it did increase the speed in the flat area but nothing changed for going up hill at all. It doesn't have the motor slowing it down any more going down hill and I have to brake more. No problem for me but it may be an issue for my wife if she doesn't pay attention going down the driveway. For my yard it's fast enough, down the road I may look into getting more torque for my 500 foot driveway maybe a new motor and other electronics upgrade. It only took 2 minutes to install. Great product so far.

I'd sure like to try my hand at building one of these but I've kinda gotten lost after reading the whole thread. Plus I can't even seem to find out how it's actually installed once you get it built!
