Re: Ezgo Pds speed chip on the fly
I have to defend my first and only buggy, even though I was clueless when I bought it.
I'm under five grand () but it runs quite well. |

Once you understand what makes them tick, both series and sepex drive systems are fairly simple machines and if you take care of them properly, once they are working right, they are both fairly reliable. I'm not all that familiar with RXVs, but the same is probably true for them also. Like you, I was clueless when I bought my cart. It is working out pretty well for me, so I'm happy with the hand I was dealt and in retrospect, I probably would have picked a PDS anyway. If I did more off-road stuff, or hauling/towing, I'd go with a series drive. |

Re: Ezgo Pds speed chip on the fly
Thanks to all for the support. This is a great forum.
My controller is the 73326g07 as mentioned above. Thinkin I will use the 3 posn toggle and just stop to switch it to the regen mode for up or down hills and the Freedom mode for flats. Thanks to all:) |

Re: Ezgo Pds speed chip on the fly
If you get an aftermarket control you can have the best of both worlds without stopping to switch modes. (plus more torque and speed)

Re: Ezgo Pds speed chip on the fly
We've just gotten a 2007 EZGO TXT cart with PDS. Unfortunately the 18-month old batteries had been overcooked by a faulty charger. I've replaced batteries and charger and now we're looking at a "chip" to boost the regenerative braking performance.
I've read here about switch setups being available on ebay that would allow selection of the various modes. It seems that might be easier than tracking down the connectors and pins to make something. But I'm unable to find anything listed anywhere. I'm wondering whether there might have been some issue that caused folks to stop offering them. Or, perhaps I'm just using the wrong terms to search. Any suggestions? My thanks to everyone for all the good information and helpful people here. I just registered today, but I've been reading and learning on this forum for a month. |
