Default She cranks with verified fuel and spark, but no go?

Newbie here, but only because I'm a first time Club Car owner. I have a 2008 Turf 2 Carry All (RG0828 ) with Kawasaki FE350D-DS11 engine.

I am having issues with getting the cart to start up and go. I have verified fuel is being delivered. I have verified that I have spark. The engine will turn over when pedal is pressed, but nothing happens. I have also completely cleaned the carb, airbox, fuel lines and filters. Put a couple shot of starting fluid in the carb too, but no difference.

The one thing I have not done yet is a compression test. I have a compression tester on the way from Amazon as I type this thread. I'm expecting to find low to no compression.

Does anyone have any other ideas or suggestions to try while waiting on tester?

I cleaned the carb 3 times and the 3rd was the charm especially focusing on the main and pilot jet. It may help you out.

This was my problem listed here :

I should have probably added that I'm not even getting to idle. The engine turns, but won't fire. I will check and clean the carb again to see if that helps. Thanks for the input!

Did you put a new spark plug in it? Spark plugs occasionally crack the insulation and will spark if you have it out but it will not fire at the tip when it's in the engine under compression.

I have not. Great idea! I will pick one up on my way home from work.

We'll I tried a new plug and it sputtered for a second, like it wanted to start and then nothing. I guess I'll wait to see what my compression is....

When you removed the old plug was there gas in the cylinder?

If you hold your palm over the carb inlet while its cranking do you feel any suction? It should also pull gas through the carb and get your palm wet.

So, when I put my palm over the carburetor my hand gets wet and there is a minimal amount of suction. I ran a compression test and I am only getting about 35 PSI. I'm not sure what amount of pressure I should be getting, but that doesn't seem like enough?

I would check the valve clearance, sounds like one of them is staying open

Should have 100+ psi IIRC, but it could be lower if the engine has the automatic compression release.
