Robins 244cc Engine Govenor question
I have a 1981 3 wheeled ez-go.
Runs great, however, someone who tinkers with carts told me I do not have a govenor, but, wouldn't elaborate. What is a govenor and where should it be located. Does anyone have a engine sketch as I assume it controls engine speed to protect over revving. |

Re: Robins 244cc Engine Govenor question
The governor is on the rear end. Throttle goes to the rear, then from rear to carb. Follow the cable and you'll find it. Unless someone removed it or modified it.

Re: Robins 244cc Engine Govenor question
If your cart still has a govenor on it,it will be a cover with a lever and a cable attached to the clutch on the rear-axle.The cable will run up and connect to your throttle-arm on the carb.It protects from over-rev and also limits speed. If you are altering the cart(lift, big tires, etc.)Unhook it and forget it.Hope this helps.
