Default Pumped Gas or Race Fuel

Is anybody out their having trouble with pumped gas? Pulled my plugs and showed signs of not very clean burn. Changed Plugs from NGK #BKR5ES to a hotter plug #BKR4E. Some carbon build up on plugs, but no smoke, or oil loss. Didn't know if I needed to start burning VP race fuel in a duilition with pumped gas?

Thanks for all the help!!

VP in a golf cart motor sounds like a waste of money to me.

I think I would replace my air filter first.

Right now I am running the K&N filter that I purchased from Buggiesunlimited but not real happy how it fits in the air box. Just thought somebody else has had any trouble. Thanks for the ideas!

You may get a darker plug with VP it burns
slower and will not give you any more power
unless you have high compression and a lot
of spark lead.

Running race fuel in a low compressiion engine is like burning 5 dollars bills just to see the flames. I total waste of money. If you can go down to a lake where they sell gas, that would be your better choice. Unless it has changed boat gas has no alcohol in it.

Hell I run c114 in my tow quad at the track and it runs great I'm sure some c114 will make it into the cart too this year. I know its a waste of money but sometimes I forget to fill the 2 gal container with 94 premium.

Waste of money maybe but there's no way you WON'T notice the difference. I run Cam2 race fuel in my 1980 Honda ATC185 once and a while and it really screams. So does the 351 windsor in my mongrel F-250.

In fact, every motor I've run that stuff in gets right busy with it

Oh yeah.. pump gas is definitely CRAP these days.

it is a waste of money in a golf cart motor my 2 cents. sure it maybe a little pep er but 108/114 octane race fuel runs a lot hotter in the little stock motors. they will eventually die a slow life i know that from experience

Run some SUNOCO Blue in it. 100 octane pump gas and no water. You could also run e-85. Corn liquor in an air cooled engine cleans everything out. Worked wounders in my mowers, weed eater, ect. Just my two cents.
