Sorry to hear about this. I trust that nobody was hurt in this BBQ. The cart can be replaced but people can not.

Don't give up. Now you have a good reason to go radical with this build.

By The Way...Welcome to the fun house.

yes it was in the garage, and there was a tarp on the floor, where we were butchering deer last week and it caught fire too. I was able to put the tarp out with my coveralls, also learned to check fire extinguishers more often, because when I grabbed it it didnt work, then I was really freaking out, thats when I pushed it outside luckily my wife was there and told me to turn on the water hose, because I couldn't think straight at all after the extinguisher didn't work!! thank goodness for my wife with a clear head.

holey If I decide to I will let you know, I haven't made up my mind there is another cart that I might go look at this week and if I buy it I will let everybody on here know are you near cincinnati, if so i would make you a great deal on the whole axle. I think all the electrical stuff is ok except maybe the generator, the fire was mostly on top the motor and seat where the gas bottle was hanging I just replaced the battery which exploded, and the regulator, coil wire, solenoid, igniter, but I think everything but the battery is fine because the wires aren't even melted. Anyway I have it on craigslist now I would take 400 as is if it doesn't sell in a week I will start taking it apart to part out.

Glad nobody got hurt. A lot of guys BBQ thier muffler, they just take them out of the cart first.

Sorry couldn't resist!

I'd fix it if I were you.
