Default 2001 Gas EZGO Suddenly Sluggish

I have a 2001 TXT with the Robin 295. Cart was running fine when suddenly it became sluggish. It sounded as if it was running on one cylinder. I inspected the plugs and verified spark in both cylinders. When one is removed (either) it will not start, but when both are plugged in it will run but as I said...sluggish. When put in neutral, engine rpm will increase, but slowly.
It almost seems the timing is off but I don't think there is way to confirm. any ideas?

Run a compression test on it. I have seen these motors blow. When they do it's usually on the driverside piston rod.

Thanks for the reply G2rebel. Before I ran the compression test I decided to look at the valve train. When I removed the valve cover I discovered the intake adjuster nut was laying next to the valve spring and the adjuster backed all the way out. Intake was not opening. Set the lash on all valves @.004 cold and all is good. Thanks for the assist!
