Thumbs up Roof Design Idea's for '79 G1?

For my winter project I plan on creating a Roof Frame design and I was looking for idea's. I'm curious to see what you you guys have fab'd for your buggies. I was thinking of using 3/4" metal conduit for the structure. It's inexpensive, strong and easier to bend than standard metal tubing. Then again, if I go that route I won't be able to weld it due to the fumes issue.

Thanks for your help!

Here's the roof that I fabbed up for my 84. Built out of 3/4 conduit. I stripped most of the coating off of it before welding it. Welded it in a well ventilated area. Also added the windshield. I'm gonna make another one for my 83 over the winter but I think I will use 1 inch this time.

Nice Job! What did you use to make the bends? (Tube bender, conduit bender)?

I used a conduit bender. I have never bent conduit before but it was pretty easy to work with.
