G14 king pin questions.
Hi All,
Bought my 95 G14 last summer. Been running great but lately there was a clunk in the front end on the right side. So, I bought a king pin kit and installed it and the new bushings on the right side first. Turns out the a-arm hole for the bushing was elongated so I welded it up and then used the die grinder to re-shape it. Installed the king pin and bushings on that side and reassembled. It still clunks like before. There is hardly any play on that side compared to what it was before. I jacked it up again, and if I manually move the tire/suspension up and down, I can feel something in the shock area that might be the culprit. The lower shock bushing and the a-arm bushings looked fine when I took them apart. Should I replace the left side and see what happens? Maybe I didn't tighten some of the bolts tight enough? |

Re: G14 king pin questions.
My G16 clunks a little bit in the front end. Not 100% sure, but I suspect it might be the shock absorber bushings. I think the suspensions are similar. RAY
