1266 controller programming

Hi All, first post so play nice

I have a EMC buggie. Not sure what EMC stands for but its made in China.

It has a Curtis 1255A contoller and I am just itching to fiddle with. Is the protocol the same as the other controllers (basically will the 1313 & 1314 controllers work for this controller)
I have perused the various thread pages and understand about making a cable but before I start I thought I would look for any others out there in buggie land have already done it. I don't want to reinvent the wheel.

OK it appears no one else has one of these controllers that they have fiddled with.
Had the service guy call in to adjust the top speed and had a bit of a talk with him about various different buggies.
His plug in controller is used for various makes of buggies both old & new.
All he does is choose a different program.

This sort of indicated to me that the physical signalling is common so I will make up an inverter and use a USB to RS232 I have in the drawer which I purchased for an unrelated bench project. It accepts TTL inputs so it is right to go.

He had a bit of a fiddle with some of the parameters like the acceleration & deceleration, made it much more drivable.

Just have to get the connector and I will be set.
