'87 CC Brake Replacement
I read Andy4639's thread on replacing brakes on a '90 CC. My question is, what is the trick to putting the new shoes on? I noticed on his car the brake return springs are on the outboard side of the shoes - mine are on the inboard side (maybe a difference in the model?). I get the bottom spring on but I can't figure out how to get the top spring on. Went to the auto parts store and got a brake spring tool but I can't get it to work. There's got to be a trick to this! - What is it!

Re: '87 CC Brake Replacement
Well, Thanks for all the help on this subject! I've worked on disc brakes before but never drum brakes. I figured out how to get those return springs on but I had to cuss like a sailor to do it and I had four years of training for that when I was in the U.S. Navy way back when. Sometimes you need all the help you can get.
