![]() My G2 comes out of gear and goes right back in sometimes. What can I do to fix this? Do you adjust the cables behind the shifter and if so how much?
Thanks Mac |

![]() Have someone work the shifter and watch the lever on the rear end. Make sure the lever is traveling all the way each direction. If not, adjust.

![]() Ron....you always have sound advise for members questions. There are "special" cable lubers, sometimes that helps. The 2 cables work "push/pull" one bad cable and it will not go into gear all the time. You can try "tightening" the adjustments (for better "throw"). Is the f/r lever really had to move? Sometimes you should just replace "both" cables. Let us know what happens....could help the next person. Good luck Dave

![]() Thanks for the replies. I thought I could adjust the cables, just wanted to here it from you guys. I already have adjusted some and it is better so I may move just a little more. Where do you get a cable luber and the new cables?
Thanks Mac |

![]() I've used them before, I like to just softly hold the cable in a vice or upright and spray it every time I walk by. Let it soak to the other end, work the cable up and down each time and don't be in a hurry will get the best results.
Make sure you use a penetrating oil, WD-40 is not. |
