![]() I have a 97 textron 36v stock. some of the hills i am going down are steep enough to get the cart up to 25/30mph at least. these hills are 1/4 mi. long but only have to do the down hill about 6/7 times a day. so should i keep the pedal on the floor or let off or stay on the brakes as to not let it get that fast. does the motor spin faster as the cart speeds up, in turn over spinning the motor.
While i'm here I would also like to know if the txt model is the same thing as a textron |

![]() THe cart was made to go 12 -14 mph at double the speed you are turning twice the intended rpms. They will blow up at some piont beyond that. When they do it locks up the differential and throws the cart into a skid.
I would slow down just to be safe. |

![]() Textron = EZGO
I'm not sure I would let the cart coast at 30 mph down the hills though! |

![]() Thanks scotty. after a few fast blast down the hill I thoght to myself, this is way to much fun to be good for any part of the cart. . I'm new to the cart thing but I do have a little comon sense.
Now I just need to get the brakes working better. |

![]() If you go down it alot than i woudl upgrade to a disc brake setup. they work much better.
any yes turning a motor that fast will cause it to blow up. I replaced a motor not too long ago that hit the pavement running 70mph, Lets just say I have a pile of scrap in a bucket in the shop right now. nothing is usuable from that motor. It also burned up the controller. |
