I looked thru the Parts list on the stickies and the rear axle in the manual shows the regular gas rear, this axle has no place for F&R selection. There is only one marking on it that says E-Z-GO

Looks more like my EZGO electric golf cart rear axle.

You know thats probably why there was no running gear in it at all. This cart was probably used to make an electric cart into a gas. Good think I only bought it as scrap

You did find the rear end, and it is indeed an electric cart rear end.

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...-rear-end.html

That particular rear end is a funky year and a half only deal that was made 86.5-87. Electric EZGO carts used a Dana differential before and after this time period, but for reasons still unknown, they used this oddball differential for a short time. Don't just scrap it, they're sorta rare.

Also, there should be a date stamped on the passenger side of the differential in that rectangular raised portion above the fill plug, you might have to take a wire brush to it and get close to see it, but it'll be there.
