Default New to me GXT804D , questions

Just picked up a gas 96 GXT804D with hydraulic dump bed. Price was too good to pass on. Has a couple small issues to iron out but before I do that I have to figure out why it has very little power. In neutral it sounds good, barring a little POP every now n then... No torq, takes forever to get going but when it get there it's decent.. I'm an electric GC person and I figured I'd post here to get pointed in the right direction..

I know, I know... This threads useless without pics..

Try adjusting the valves, it is 4-stroke right?

Yes it's got the robin 350 in it.... Stupid question before I try the valve adjust , do i need a replacement gasket or is the valve cover gasket reusable?

It's reusable, it's like a big o ring in a groove in the cover.

Thanks for the quick replies! I've got some things to do around the house before I head over to where it is.

Plan on some electrical troubleshooting also.. Anyone have a link to the elec. schematic of one of these?

Will report back after I adjust the valves and check compression.
