Ok, once it gets warm i'll give it a good power washing and clean all the connections.

Battery, and electrical connections look really bad. Start with cleaning them, and checking for spark.

Power washing is not the answer for electrical connections. Sandpaper is.

It looks like it's sitting out in the snow with nothing on it. If it has been sitting for a while, the ethanol gas has most likely gunked up the carburetor, and pump. They should both be taken apart, and cleaned really good.

I got cha. I will give it a good cleaning and then i will clean all the connections. I'll drain the gas check the plug and wires. Should i remove the oiler? I'm sure the carb is filthy. I'll pull it too. Yeah i've had it about a week, so I haven't had a chance to give it any love.

If you remove the oiler, plug the hole at the intake with a 6x1 mm bolt. It has to be air tight.

I had one of those. Without the governor it would run about 25 mph. When I got mine it didn't run. Turns out that the fuel pickup tube inside the tank, attached to the elbow on top of the tank had come off. Also the fuel pump runs off of crank case pressure, it has a rubber diaphragm and pulses. They make a rebuild kit, or you could get a new one. But if it isn't broke, don't fix it. Have fun with it, mine would also go backwards as fast as forward.

Ok, finally got some time to look at it. It doesn't seem to be getting fuel. Mine has a clear filter on it and it's as dry ad a bone

Trooper... First off, snag a fuel pump diaphragm kit. I too have an 88' and I sinstalled a new carb rather than a rebuild because my carb was sloppy and worn out. My cart will run just above 25mph on GPS.... and the motor is stock... it's a blast and once you get it figured out, you'll have a great time with it!

This is what my fuel pump looked like. Full of white residue. I'm sure my carb is full of it too.

Ok, I installed a new fuel pump and battery. I can get it to run on ether when I spray it into the carb. I need to figure out how to get the pump primed. Any help?

If it's not priming then you could have bad crank seals. If you pull the crank case pulse line and cover it with your finger, while pressing the pedal you should feel it pulsing. That'swwhat drives your pump. If it's not then the seals may be bad. Just a thought.
