Default G1A not charging

G1A, starts and runs perfect. Both directions. It is not charging the battery. Battery voltage with engine off is 12.03v. Engine running, it's showing 11.92v. Tested the 2 smaller wires on the S/G and they are 4.98Ω, which in my searching this site shows to be correct. With engine running, I have tested voltage between the two small wires, 0.0v AC or DC (tried both settings on my DVOM). Can any of y'all give me a pointer on which way to go with this?
