Default Lifted wacky shock issues

Hey All, I just got this 96 G16 project. As you can see in the pictures, the shocks are not sitting straight, especially the left one. In the 2nd pic you can see the tabs on the risers are flush with the frame. Is it suppose to look like this? Looks like a 6 or 7" off brand kit. Also have some camber issues as the tires are sitting in a drastic V. Appreciate all the help I can get. First cart and jumping in nose deep.

The riser should be perpendicular and the tab should be flush with the frame. Something is wrong with the left side riser.

The front problem sounds like a possible problem with the cheap lift. But could also be a toe setting problem.

Ha...shock extenders lol. Go to auto parts store and buy yourself some new shock absorbers...best thing I ever did after my lift.

Thanks guys, Dave, the risers look identical, I wonder if the tabs should be facing out instead of in maybe... bad weld... bad jig.... who knows. Sure hope I don't have to put a different lift on it but that would be my luck.

All the Yami's I've lifted have a brace running horizontal between the risers to keep them in place, usually a welded assembly. I suppose you could even drill and bolt a brace - or maybe two, near top & bottom of the risers to keep them in place. Otherwise I would expect them to pivot like that on the single bolt.

**** Dave after seeing yours I have a lot of work to do to mine. I know there are pieces parts missing. Just ordered a new carb, misc. gaskets, clutch tool, both throttle cables. Can you tell me if it's ok to install the new clutch now or should I be installing something else first? Like the cables, hooking throttle and brake up.. ect. Thanks

I don't think you're missing any parts. Square up the risers and fabricate a goalpost. Or see what needs to be done to the riser to make it correct. Are the front brackets like this?

I'd get it running correctly, then worry about the clutch.
