What relay assembly? The one by the solenoids? That one isn't made anymore as it can be jumped with no real effect on the cart. I just jumped mine. Simply join the white wires together and leave everything else as is.

All that relay does is add a little response delay while switching between F and R. It's not needed.

That's good news
I actually do not have a relay ... So when you say leave everything else as is after jumping the white wires .....

Pretend your relay just went out and you had to remove it with nothing to replace it with ... What would you do ?

Are you saying jump the white wires and leave the rest hanging and connected to nothing ?
Cause that would be awesome

Yes, leave the relay in place as is. Cut the white wire on either side of it and fuse them together.

Well that's the problem ... I don't have the relay .... The relay is gone .... That is why I asked you to imagine there is no relay

I have no problem fusing or butt connecting the white wires .... It's the remaining wires that I'm concerned about ... There is no relay but I don't think leaving the junction box

Use wire nuts or electrical tape on ends of the other wires, individually. They will be fine...

If your cart is an '82 you did not have a relay from birth of the cart. '82 was the only G1 model year built without them. Attached is the wiring diagram. if you once had a relay someone may have installed it or you don't have an '82. Semantics I know, bottom line is if you got the info you needed then that's good!!
