anyone have a diagram on how to line up the crank and cam marks on a G2 engine

You should be able to download a copy of the G2/G9 manual here someplace, it has been posted a couple times.

It should make the v just like the picture that smallblock posted. You have to rotate the crank and cam a little to be able to get the counter balancer into the correct v.
