You would be better off selling this one and getting an electric cart. Your looking at a lot of work to convert it. I doubt your suspension is set up for the additional 400 pounds of batteries.

it would be easier and cheaper to just get a electric cart, it would cost more to change to electric, that sure is a nice cart

You would need

rear end eletcric
motor
controller
solenoid
battery tray
F/R switch
batteries
charger
wiring harness
and
and

Yep, my old sparky cart had leafs in the back vs. coils, and also that basically everything under the hood is different.

Maybe try CL - there might be someone who hot-rodded a sparky cart and wants to trade it for your hot-rodded gas cart.

Regardless, sorry to hear about your resort. I went from sparky to gas simply due to the cost of batteries. However, it is not only resorts, but some golf courses that have outlawed the gas carts making them a bit easier to find in good shape.

And although there is something nice about a quiet sparky cart, from a maintenance and cost perspective, I wouldn't go back to one. JMO.

Shocks are blown so I'm in need of new shocks, when camping I always end up with 1000 lbs of people,it can handle it for sure.i have access to a older marathon as a donor.i just can't seem to find much info on it.

Yea this is a bummer as I built this cart specifically for this resort.its bs to me,it's the gm of the place that doesn't get along with me,he's a ahole..... Don't really want to do another build as money is tighter than ever for me.

I have a bunch of campgrounds around me that only allow electric golf carts as well and I have a Yamaha G8 gas. It would be cool if there was a way to make my cart both electric and gas. It could be a hybrid. Although it would add a lot of extra weight, it's gotta be possible. I've never seen anyone convert a gas to a sparky. It's always the other way around. I would imagine it's not really that difficult but pretty costly. Your cart is typically worth more with a gas engine. Sucks to think about it but you might want to consider just getting another cart.

You have been advised by a few people not to do this. If money is tight you can't afford to do this.

Your best bet is a CL ad to trade straight across for a lifted Electric cart. Good Luck
