Default 2005 ST350 starter/generator sticks

Hey guys! Having a little issue with the starter on this cart. Works fine most of the time, but occasionally the starter will stick in place. You go to press the pedal and you hear a click but the starter won't turn. In order to get it working again, you have to reach in and turn the starter by hand till it turns over. any ideas? Maybe high resistance in some of the wiring?

Welcome to BGW

there is a few things that it can be,

bad brushes, bad ground, dirty cable connections, battery low or going bad, what is the volts of your battery now, ? put your DVM meter on the battery while you are cranking it and see what the volts drop to

Thanks for the Welcome!
12.6v not cranking. Drops down to about 11.7v while cranking. Its a relatively new Interstate battery. I can see the cable/ground connections being dirty tho. All of our carts get a LOT of use

12.73 is a fully 100% charged battery, you might want to give it a charge, and see what the volts are with the cart running, should be up around 14volts
