Re: New To Golf Cart's
I am doing what BrewCity suggested. I think the switch I bought was around $8, can't remember for sure. But it connects to the frame then a spring to the brake pedal. Just make sure you wire it off of your switch so you don't leave your brake lights on when the switch is off and the parking brake applied. Don't want to drain your battery flat.

Hmm... I'll locate a picture of the switch I was referring to on that site.

Re: New To Golf Cart's
That's similar to what I was referring to, but no reason it wouldn't work just fine. OH - and yeah, I meant to say #8, not 8/32 (or yes, 1/4" LOL) ...
Just be sure and experiment with the spring you use between the switch and the pedal arm, you don't want it to be so loose that it will eventually stretch out from having the parking brake engaged - and of course, not so tight that it wears the switch out prematurely. If You're using the factory DOT harness, btw, You won't have to worry about wiring it to the switch, etc as that feature is already built into it. |

Re: New To Golf Cart's
Or anything like that... Just like brew said. Just make sure you can cut the power when it's parked so the brake light circuit isn't killing the battery.
