I think the fuel filter should be good if its the one im thinking of. as for the plugs, I think you have a colder plug in it now compared to the stock ones. a colder plug could foul up easier though. heres a good read to explain the differences in a hotter or colder plug and the side effects.

The 4ES is the recommended plug, the 2ES is a hotter choice that works well in a performance / hard-driven cart, and the 5ES will work but as mentioned above is a bit cooler so yes, a bit more succeptible to fouling. The filters are compatible across the board from the first 295's in 1991 to the 295/350's of 2008, so the shape difference is likely just due to the filter being an aftermarket or different manufacturer (I wouldn't worry about that) ...
