Re: Curtis 1510-5201 Repair Question
That would make sense one of the Mosfets in the Full Bridge Motor Field driver burnt. There are 2 involved in each direction, so You may need to look under the addtional heat-sink tab to inspect.
If they are using the same IRF3710 Mosfet as in the Armature Half bridge driver, You have less than $3 of parts needed. 47Ω 5% - 1/4 watt resistor IRF3710 Mosfet ($2.58 ) http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/...Fc1i7Aod2yIA0A If you got time, who knows, that maybe all of the damage. |

Re: Curtis 1510-5201 Repair Question
That looks like the correct one. The only problem now is getting to it. I took all of the screws out and slid the "face plate" off and I still couldn't get the two boards to separate from the controller itself

Re: Curtis 1510-5201 Repair Question
It looks like if You remove that one screw on the top board attaching the Mosfet(??) heat-sink tab to the circuit board, You can then squeeze the plastic posts and pull the entire top board off the bottom board (they all look line connectors, no solder between boards). The front panel should come up with it.

Re: Curtis 1510-5201 Repair Question
Contacted FSIP about possibly sending the replacement parts and they said they wouldn't. Have an email in with Curtis as well
