'04 Club Car Precedent starts at a crawl
When fully charged my '04 club car precedent sometimes starts in "crawl mode" just barely moving. If I release the accelerator and then press it again it sometimes picks up speed if on flat terrain or going down hill. In general if on an incline it crawls up the incline then speeds up to full speed when reaching relatively flat terrain.
Any thoughts about what is going on. The batteries are fairly new trojans with the cables replaced at the same time and the controller and MCOR are both less than 1 year old. It can make it around for 36 holes in a day with power to spare. Thanks for any help! |

Check the total pack voltage 12 hours after charging. Should be 50.9vdc. If not, check each individual battery. Sounds like a current/draw issue. (And that could be a bad MCOR, too)

Re: '04 Club Car Precedent starts at a crawl
What is the pack voltage 12 hours after fully charging? With a DVM, what is the pack voltage when the sluggishness starts and after? (Need this exact info...)
Also could be: MCOR Loose Connection Broken Magnet ~Speed Sensor Etc. etc. but need those voltages to evaluate the issue. |

Re: '04 Club Car Precedent starts at a crawl
Make sure all of your battery connections are tight and clean. Torque all of the battery connections to no more than 110 in/lbs. Brush your connections with a brass bristle brush. Starting off draws the most current so that's where these will show up the most.
One more thing. Once you torque your batteries try to wiggle the lug from side to side. If it moves you will have to add a flat washer or lock washer. |
