Faulty speed controller ???
Evening,
36 volt Ezgo. Its an older cart. 2006 Key is between the legs along with a reverse and forward switch. Does not have a tow/run switch. Solenoid clicks works fine. Been trying to diagnose and issue with my cart but seem to hit a wall. Batteries are older but all charge up to almost 38 volts and seem to hold a good charge. When I get in it and press the gas petal it moves but when I put the pedel to the floor it doesn't speed up, just slowly moves. I put a DVM to the to the M terminal and the B terminal on the speed controller it starts off at 0 but only rises to 30 volts max. According to my research, it should reach the voltage of the battery bank, which mine is 36 volts after resting. Am i correct when i assume the controller is dead? Or should I try something else before replacing it. Thanks in advance for any input. John |
