I wanted to thank everyone that responded to my CHEAP BATTERY post. We ended up with Duracell.

We bought this cart used. 4 years ago and have not touched it except for minor battery maintenance. MAybe not enough...........haha

it is an EZGO 48 TXT. The date code on the sticker behind the batteries has:

M0310

Assuming it is a 2010. Would that be correct??

The lights stopped working a while back, but since it is rarely used at night I ignored it until now. ( OK the War Department is complaining ) So, first off, I can not find a fuse block?? The manual I have has references to such an animal on the rear fender. Can not find it.

HELP Where is this hidden? Its not that big a cart haha.

Also, Am I correct in assuming the DC to DC converter supplies 12 volts to accessories?

I don't deal with many 48v txts, but I think the fuse block in that location is only on 36v txts with factory lights. And 48v txts with factory lights would have a DC converter to power the 12v lights.

Ahh okay, thanks another part of the puzzle falls in place.

I see what is probably the controller. There is a cover over it and I can see a heat sink, so probably it. I know where the solenoid is, I took the cover off of that. There is one in-line-fuse as shown in the manual and it is good. But I cannot find the DC converter.

Any ideas?

Are you sure you have a 48-12v converter?

I believe it would be on the driver's side under the seat. You might have a aftermarket light kit that someone has just wired up to 2 batteries (16v).

First of all, Thank you for your service!

If you can post pictures of the wiring on your batteries and the different components, that would make things much easier to diagnose.

My 12 has the factory converter and it is under the drivers side of the seat mounted on a vertical plate. Fuse box is behind it on the fender. Flip the run/Tow to Tow and start looking for smaller wires coming off of the pack that are not on the 2 batteries next to the controller. Those are probably the lights.

I have a 2012 txt with factory lighting.
My 12 volt convertor was mounted to the onboard charger and hidden by a plastick cover. Fuse block was on drivers side rear fender.
My fuse block was in pretty bad shape, so I eliminated it and just installed inline mini fuse holders going to each accessory,horn,brake lights, headlights to eleminate constant bad connection issues I was having.
Possible previous owner did the same thing?
Other option is to trace wiring for voltage from light switch back till you find source. Color of the wire from source to lights will change along the way per factory wiring so be aware of this when tracing the circuit.

No, I am not sure

Best I can tell it is a stock unit except for the tires and wheels. The dash has the 2 step key a F/R switch a battery indicator and a light switch. All stock looking.

The batteries do not have a tap for 12 VDC anywhere. So I assume a converter would be somewhere??

Well, there is nothing there except the charger plug on the front side of seat.
There is not tap for 12 VDC anywhere on the battery bank.
