Also, just did a double check on the solenoid. Only thing I saw was that it took a long time for the pack voltage to disappear after releasing the throttle. I got pack voltage at main + side and after pushing accelerator until solenoid clicked, I got pack volatage on other side. When I released accelerator, I still saw pack voltage but it was decreasing .1 of a volt at a time. Took quite a while to get down to 4.2 and stopped there. Here is the test I used:

"Remove the pre-charge resistor from the big terminals.

Put the voltmeter black (common) on battery main (-) and the red lead on the solenoid big terminal with the battery Main (+) cable on it

The voltmeter should read the same as the battery pack here.

Now press the pedal so the solenoid clicks and move the red lead to the other big solenoid post = this should also now read the same as the battery pack.

Now release the pedal and the power should disappear from the second big post."

Last two look to be within range. Is the first with pedal pressed until solenoid clicks? If so, it's out of range. Without the whole flowchart, I don't know where to go.

Yes. Pedal depressed until solenoid clicked. (I edited results to reflect this)

I'm kinda stumped right now. The check showing 14V is out of range so I will take a break and think about it for a bit. I am going to pull all leads from the motor and do a motor check again to make sure I am good there. When I first got the cart, the batteries were shot so I pulled them all out and hooked up my battery charger to check the motor. It came on and wheels turned, so I shut it down immediately as I was using 12V to check it. I then bought new batteries and installed them. I made the assumption that the motor was good. It was replaced in 2013 according to the date stamp.

Going back to basics. Using Ez-Go Troubleshooting from cartsunlimited.net.
Removed all connections to motor.
Have continuity between A-1 and A-2.
Have continuity between S-1 and S-2.
No continuity between A-1 and S-1
No continuity between A-1 and S-2
No continuity between A-2 and S-1
No continuity between A-2 and S-2

According to test motor is OK?

I'd think so, especially since you did the 12 volt test and it passed. Just need to see if someone will post the complete troubleshooting flowchart. I've read all of the tests a few hundred times, but never needed them, so I didn't save them.

Need to know what B- and Pin #2 (blk) pedal depressed until solenoid clicks = 14.0V means if it fails.

Found it in the Stickies. It ain't text searchable.

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...g-manuals.html

Specifically http://products.jacobsen.com/img/manuals/28646.pdf

I have this but went to Troubleshooting. It starts on chapter E, page 42/228, Electronic Speed Control (Non-PDS).

Go to page 54 (page E-8 ) and you can see what it tells you to do if you fail test #23.

Have to add a space between an 8 and a) or it turns it into a smiley.

Good Luck.

You should also download the Owner's and Service Parts Manuals from here. Good stuff, even if they aren't all text searchable .pdfs.

OK. Going out now to do what it says on E-8. Will get back later with results.

Really appreciate you taking the time to help me work through this. Without the help of those on this forum, I probably would have given up long ago. The learning curve is not too bad once you get your head into it. Thanks.
