Default 2014 Regen cart w new D&D motor-Limp mode

I have a 2014 regen cart, purchased a new D&D motor, installed, wired plug in harness to match D&D speed sensor plug. I cant get more than 11mph. Talking with D&D, this cart with 23 inch wheels and 5 inch lift should get 22-23 mph. Alltrax xct48400 controller. Downloaded software, I’m getting no signal from the speed sensor. All other settings are correct. Checked the wiring again, all good. I assume the new sensor could be bad? Is this common?

There are three possibilities, the speed senor, the controller or the wiring.

Hopefully the Black wire from Pin-13 on the XCT is connected to the Black wire at the motor, the Red wire on Pin-15 connects to the Red wire at the motor and the White wire on Pin-14 connects to the Green wire at the motor.

What is the voltage on Pin-15 (Red wire)?

Which D&D sepex motor?

What Field Map is loaded?

D&D motor: ES7651
Voltage on red wire from controller to speed sensor at full throttle is 39-43 volts
Field map: TXT48-V5
Rechecked the wires to make sure they are positioned properly in the plug

Thanks

Stop running the D&D ES motor until you upload the correct field map.
D&D or Alltrax can provide this map.

The voltage on the red wire from the controller (Pin-15), ought to be in the 10V to 15V range and should stay the same regardless of pedal position. Contact Alltrax to get the specific voltage an XCT sends to a speed sensor.

If approximately 40V has been applied to the speed sensor on the D&D motor, it has very likely been destroyed. Voltage spec on it is from -4.5V to +24V. Attached is the D&D drawing for a ES-76-51, a motor I've been running since I exploded my stock PDS motor almost 6 years ago. The speed sensor specs are on the drawing.

As Scotty said, don't run the motor until you get the correct filed map loaded, especially with your oversized tires.

Get the speed sensor working and connected, get the correct field map (I believe the ones for the XCT are called Field Curves) loaded and with some user programming and tweaking, your cart will likely have a top speed over 30MPH.

Thank you, I have contacted alltrax for the proper field map and will order another speed sensor from D&D.

I did not see the attachment.

Loaded the new field map. Cart still in limp mode. In the software, unchecked "enable speed mode" to see if the problem is the speed sensor. Cart runs as it should, around 23-25mph.

I will order another speed sensor from D&D and hopefully with the new field map should take care of my problem. If there are any other settings that I need to adjust or tweak, please let me know.
Thanks for all your help.
