Default 98 ezgo txt with dcs will run for 1 second then quit

If they topic has already been covered i apologize in advance. I just bought a 98 txt. It has a dcs controller. I installed batteries. When i connected everything it would run for approximately 1 second, then quit. After that its dead until i disconnect the - cable and reconnect it. Any ideas on what is wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it a 36 or 48 volt cart? What's your battery pack voltage when not in use and what is it when trying to run the cart? I really don't know enough about the dcs system, but I figured let's start with the basics.

It is a 36v. It has 37.3 volts at the battery pack. When i turn it on and put it in forward or reverse, i hear the solenoid click. I measured the battery pack voltage in gear while holding the gas pedal down, and the voltage stays at 37.3v

According to the chart, a fully charged 36 volt pack should be 38.2 volts, you're pack is only about 70-75% charged. I would fully charge the batteries and then try following the directions in that thread I sent you. Start testing to see where the problem is.
