Default 99 TXT with a broken leaf spring/ want to add a lift kit

While replacing my leaf springs I want to add a lift kit but don't have the money for huge tires/wheels. Can I add the 6" lift and still use the stock tires?

Depends on what lift. Some lifts require at least a 10” wheel to clear.

Here is my 1995 Medalist with a 6" lift kit and stock tires. The only issue I had was with the offset on the stock rim, it made it come very close to the tie rod extension. I had no intentions of keeping it like this and went right to bigger rims and tires, so I don't know how much it would have rubbed.

Going to just find a drop spindle lift but will try to find any requirements for tire size.

Very nice. Yeah I just would rather add the lift since I have to take off the springs anyway. This was a drop axle correct?

Yes. If you look at the 2nd pic, the rim and tire come close, but I don't think it would hit. I'm sure you could run on stock rims and tires until you have the $ to get new ones. Good luck!

Drop axle would probably be okay but almost every spindle lift I have seen required bigger rims.

If I remember correctly that company I believe has a bad reputation here. Please check with bgw sponsors first.

Not to beat the horse on this, but wanted to add that the site sponsors are what helps keep this forum going. They contribute to keep the site up and many of them add a great amount of knowledge here. They usually have great prices and the customer service is hands down better than what you’re going to get at that other place. There’s a button for a list of them in the blue ribbon up above.
