Default 2002 NON PDS series 5 pin controller cart schematic

Does anyone have one of these or know where I can locate one? I've got a cart I'm sure that has a wiring issue because when you push the accelerator it slams into gear and takes off hard and there's NO slow speed. Also after only a few test runs the cart has stopped and I'm only getting a solenoid click but no movement. Thanks in advance

The schematic for series drive carts have essentially been the same since EZGO introduced the ITS throttle system back in the mid-90's. The only difference that I know of is some of the Curtis 1206 controllers had an A2 terminal while others didn't.

If your controller doesn't have the A2 terminal and cable, just disregard it, the rest of the wiring is the same.

Also, you can download the Service, parts and owners manuals for your cart here: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...g-manuals.html

They are the top three PDF files.

Sounds like the MOSFETs in your controller were shorted, then burned out, but it might be a throttle issue.

Is this a new issue, or has something happened - upgrades, changing batteries, etc.

JohnnieB is probably right, but there is one thing to check. These are in the Stickies:

Owners Manual for some newer electric carts

Technician's service and repair manual electric carts
http://products.jacobsen.com/img/manuals/28646.pdf

Service Parts Manuals electric carts

One thing to check is the Molex connector/plug on the cable from the throttle box to the wiring harness. It's prone to corrosion problems, though it's usually a "no go" problem. This cable connects the ITS and throttle microswitch to the controller. If there is corrosion that's somehow causing cross talk, who know what could happen.

I'd find it, unplug it and spray with contact cleaner, though WD-40 would probably also work. Then plug/unplug/plug it several times and see what happens.
