Default Experience with 8v US Batteries?- 8VHATB

I have 6 of these on order from local distributor. Hoping I made the right call.

Bought Costco batteries less than 2 years ago and highly disappointed.

Make sure you have a charger that will properly charge US Battery brand batteries, their fully charged voltage is a bit higher than the fully charged voltage of other brands. (USB SoC chart attached)

What charger do you have?

Replaced my 6 8 volt trojans with USbatteries this April.
Looking at the specs between the two,U s were slightly better. Know several people at campground that have 4 years plus on them and doing fine.

As mentioned by sure charger profile is correct. I had to change mine since new batteries had more capacity compared to stock Trojans.
You made a good choice going U S battery 👍

Thank you both, really appreciated.

I have a Delta-Q QuiQ HF/PFC model 913-4800-E5 Charger.

Came with cart, and I'm still learning. Does this one sound adequate?

Just looked at their website and it looks like this is a configurable charger. Just need to figure out the right profile.

I'll check the program next time I'm up at the cabin.

I bought the US 8VGC XC2 170AH batteries less than 2 months ago and love them and they are doing great so far with the Lester Summit II charger and they do charge at a higher voltage in the beginning while they are conditioning up to full charge.

Also read up on ScottyB page and educate yourself about the care and mainteance of batteries, if you haven't already and you should have years of good service out of the new US Batteries.

Your QuiQ charger is a good one due to the fact that it can be programmed for your specific batteries. Not bad at all. What do you know about the charger? Was it an oem charger for the cart? Was it purchased as a replacement charger? Either way, it can be tailored to match your batteries. I really like the "old style chargers", only because of their "smash it on a rock" reliability, but if I were to have a "new style charger", that QuiQ is what I would have. I (and many others) have the ability to set modes for most any battery. It has 10 "memory slots" for different battery profiles. No telling what's on yours right now. There are ways for the user to select amongst the profiles loaded in the charger. If it's a oem charger from ezgo, only one "slot" is filled, which sucks for the end user, no choices. (Ezgo & Delta-q will tell you "one is it, no way to change", but that's a falsehood mandated by lawyer contracts). Have more details on the chargers origin? Sorry if I am asking too much that has been answered, but so many have been told "that's it, no options".....

Unfortunately, I don't have any history with the charger. I bought the cart in 2016 so it was only 1 year old. I am assuming this was his original charger. I looked up on their website and it looks pretty easy to choose and set a different program.

I'll find out what its set at now and may come back for help in what to set it to.

Wow, I've spent more time on the QuiQ mfr site and learned so much. Thanks for the steer.

Cart came with Trojan batteries so pretty confident I've had the wrong profile for the Costco batteries, but glad to know I can set it right for new batteries.
