Here is how I did mine. The battery is a $58 Walmart 75ah deep cycle in a $7 battery box.

One small problem putting a battery there - already taken. We use the radio maybe 2% of the time. It's usually a CD or an ipod hooked up.

Just out of curiosity, where are you planning on mounting your radio? I have plans for mine as well, but the bagwell will be housing a sub. I guess I could put a sealed box with a shallow mount sub and a battery in there. I don't like the way the stereo pods look mounted on the top(above your head).

I like the idea of the battery box, just curious if you get any feedback from the motor when the petal is pushed?
