That is odd. The link you posted come up with a 404 error, but the link I have embedded here works: http://www.cartsunlimited.net/Custom_Options.html

Seriously - the 400 contactor shown has larger contacts than the HD 200 solenoid and the contacts are silver instead of copper. So larger higher quality contacts and a bigger coil for more positive switching

Not to mention the fact that those big solenoids make a really nice pop when they operate, no wimpy little click like the others.

If you talked to Scotty you likely heard this before, but how's the rest of your chain? The cables and F/R switch. They're the next weak link.

ScottyB will "bring him around." Before I retired, I did a lot of work and consulting for a lot of different clients in various industries. But I had always said this: Fundamentally, in this world of capitalism, there are two types of people. The first type are salesmen. Real honest to goodness salesmen. And the second type are everyone else. And I mean "everyone else."

And how can you tell them apart? It's easy. When I would finally prep their income tax return at the end of the year, even after careful planning and telling them how much to fund their pension or profit-sharing plans, or Simple Plans etc, and even when I would tell them they were going to owe $X dollars and it would be close to that....a "true" salesman would say...."Ok....I can sell "X" number of units in that time period to raise that much money. So...it's not going to be a problem!"

That....is a "true" salesman. They don't care about product cost....don't care about office overhead....don't care about secretary pay or vacation or insurance cost.....they just convert all of that into "how many units do I need to sell in order to break that nut."

Dave

OK - the terminals on solenoid are thicker then battery terminals - my current connectors don't fit ...

where can I get new cables made with wider connector on one end and standard battery size on other?
