Ok after I have removed the batteries and charges them up for a while. They have started to show a charge with volt meter 6volts on the ones that I had on all night but the specific gravity test shows very weak. Am I beating a dead battery or is there a chance this might work. They batteries are supposed to be 1&1/2 year old but have been sitting for 11 or 12 months.

How were the water levels in the batteries?

Good deal. You could try to charge, run the cart, recharge, run the cart, etc for a while and see if they start to hold a charge for longer. I'd also get a voltmeter installed in the dash (really easy to do) so that way you can see how far the voltage drops while running. If it drops too far then you'll need to get new batteries.

Today , I got the cart charger to show a 2 blink red light. This is the 1st time I have seen anything from this charger. Is it still rejecting the charge because I hear a click after 20 sec or so?

Yep, charge the batts higher before re connecting charger. These batts may never provide great range. But you will be able to drive it around. Then you are hooked. Just my opinion.

Yea, like cgtech said that means the voltage is too low. How are you charging them currently? 12 volt charger hooked up to 2 batteries?

I have 2 chargers both can charge 6v or 12v. I have charged it two together at 12 and each at 6. 10amp for about 1 hour at a time or 2 amp overnight. I tried to make it move today and it would not. If I put in rev it made a beep sound. When I use the voltmeter the 1st battery has the lowest voltage and the end battery has the 2nd lowest. 4volts and 5 volts

I don't know if you are going to have to get new batts or not. But I just picked up a set at Advanced Auto. deep cycle golf cart batteries, brand new but were sitting on the shelf for 5 months so they can't sell as new anymore (corporate policy). So I got them for $42.50 each! Then I simply asked if there was anything more they can do and I got another 10% off!

Don't be fooled, these are not trojans, but for $250 for the entire pack they'll do what I need.... I might have lucked into that, but thought I'd mention it in case you need to get a new pack.
