Trojan Black Box Batteries
I have a 2006 EZGO that we just put new Trojan T 105's in, the dealer was trying to sell me the "Black Boxes" they have in stock. When asked, he said they come in on a skid badged as Trojan's but do not say Trojan on the battery. I opted for the 105's as i was hestitant to go with then as they did not say "Trojan" on them. We recently obtained a 1997 EZGO electric, and this one needs batteries as well. I know the answer to this one, "you pay for what you get" but has anyone bought these and had good luck? I've looked at the data sheet and the 105's are a better battery, but being that we just bought a whole set of new 105's, i was trying to go the more cost effective route. I also see Sams club sells Duracell batteries for 84.95, the black boxes are 90.00 from my dealer, but i have to drive 80 miles round trip to get the black boxes. Thanks in advance!

Re: Trojan Black Box Batteries
The 6V Black Box made by Trojan is a T-605 (210AH).
Sam's Club lists two Duracell GC2 batteries. One is 208AH and the other is 215AH. Last I heard, the Duracell GC batteries were made by East Penn (Deka). |

Which one would you go with? I've seen some bad reviews about the black boxes on here, but know nothing about the Duracell's (Deka)

Re: Trojan Black Box Batteries
General rule of thumb is to buy the highest AH batteries your budget allows, at the lowest price you can find locally.
