Default G29 Gas- Light Kit

Hey Guys: Just sharing. Just bought a G29. Started mods with a rear view mirror (one of those 36" jobs) and a street light kit. LED front & rear, turn signals, brake lights, 4 ways flashers & horn. Harness even has a timer to turn off the brake lights (after xx seconds) if the parking brake is set. No idea what the LED power is but these suckers are bright.

Once the snow flies my daughter and I have some other interesting ideas for a winter project. 3" lift, disc brakes, plowman clutch, rear seat, longer roof, fuel gage, USB port, seat belts….we'll see where it takes us….

Very nice.
Where did you get the Street Light kit at?
Do you have a link?

Can't wait to see it all decked out. Throw some tunes on there so you all can jam out

got the kit from ebay but delivered from east coast carts.

DB: My cart is 2012. I see that you have a 2013 with full Plowman performance package. I was on Don's site a few weeks ago and noted a completed package for $429…clutch & a bunch of other stuff. If this is the same how do you like - I assume big difference in top speed… did you give up hill climbing torque? Any feedback welcome.

With the kit you get gains all the way around. Bottom end, mid, top speed. Hill climbing, pulling, hauling. Huge gains all the way around. When you say you have a 2012. There were two carts made in 2012. One model is a 2012.5 which has the upgraded better clutches which is 199$ the other kit for a 2012 you actually get a new secondary clutch is the reason for the price difference. The 07-12 clutches had lots of complaints about jerkiness and overall wearing out quickly

Another sign of worn-out clutches for 07-12 is "banging" noises that makes the cart sound like a worn-out pile of junk.

I heard a 08 g29 at the lake the other day that sounded like a piece of metal rubbing on bicycle wheel spokes as it turned.

How many seconds does it take for the brake lights to turn off?
I like the idea of this as apposed to the pad on the pedal type switch. I'm afraid i wouldn't always actuate the switch if I didn't place my foot properly on the pedal.

Thanks DB... That's interesting…I'll do some digging to see if 2012.5 or not. Update: Model is YDRAX2 and serial number is JW8 202940. I found a cross reference that indicates 2012.5 starts at serial number JW8 200101 so if the reference is correct I have a 2012.5. Do you happen to know if the model number YDRAX2 is an indicator of anything… can't find a cross reference for that.

Arms: approx. 5 seconds delay. I should add that the kit came together well but the instructions were horrible. The brake lights energize based on a spring actuated switch. The spring is attached to the brake mechanism.

Take a look at the following pictures and tell me which clutch on your cart looks like these. The clutch closest to the muffler on your cart. Another picture on page 2.
