Re: wiring question
For the turn signal to work while the brake is pressed, the power for the brake light would have to route through the turn signal wire.

Re: wiring question
Show me a picture of both sides. The wire harness on the car and the tail light where it plugs in to it. You need to identify which one is the negative and leave it alone. Swap the other two. The harness coming out of the car should have a black wire for the negative.

Re: wiring question
I'll run a tester to confirm the negative, but for anyone following this thread. Photo of pigtail on a stock 2006 precedent

Re: wiring question
Make sure the Voltages are right on the Cart side of the wiring:
Head Lights Only: +12v between Brown and Black/white wires. If All of those voltages are correct, the cart side of the wiring is right. You can use this diagram for reference: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/attac..._iq_wiring.jpg |

Re: wiring question
The one on the left, (Black wire with white stripe) is the ground. You need to swap the other two wires and leave this one alone. Swap them on the tail light. There is no need to cut the factory wire harness, as it is correct. It's the light itself that is pinned backwards.

If the 2 hot wires are reversed, the Tail light filament that comes ON with the Headlight is the brighter one, so when the brake and/or flasher comes ON, You cannot see them as they are dimmer than the filament that is already ON. In Your case it may be a wiring problem with the flasher relay. |
