2002 ezgo txt wont move

hello 02 ezgo txt wont move all batteries all have 6.40, power to solenoid power to control box, turn key solenoid clicks reverse beeper goes off just doesnt move. cleaned connections, same thing replaced solenoid nothing, put old solenoid back now no clicking but has power please help

Had the same problem with 1999 EZGO TXT ... finally traced problem to forward/reverse cable. Took it apart and cleaned thoroughly ... voila, it runs now!

thanks for help, found micro switch in foot pedal was burnt replaced pushed pedal heard a pop still have all the voltages still wont go is there a way to test the controller?

You may have put the diode on backwards that connects to the 2 small terminals. The banded end goes to the terminal that the positive wire(s) go to on the solenoid. That pop was likely the new switch you installed blowing out again, because that is usually what happens if the diode is installed backwards.

Well lets back up a step and see what model vehicle you have 1st. Do you have the serial number of the machine?

series cart, It does need a diode but you can test without it - sounds like you did have it on there backwards which complicated your problems.... may need another pedal box ms.

banded end towards the red wires! ... not blue or black.

ok, thank you for the replies i do appreciate it. i put a new solenoid on without resistor (only because mechanic at golf cart shop said u dont have to) well cart didnt move.lol so i put a jumper wire from battery to red small post on solenoid cart rides fine what in the heck could it be

Put the resistor back on. It will make your solenoid contacts last longer.
