TXT Brushguard on Marathon
I was wondering if the width of a Marathon body is the same as a TXT? Considering adding a front brushguard to my 89 Marathon. Saw that Grizzly has one for a TXT with a winch plate, and was hoping it would fit. My cart is lifted with a Jake's drop axle and has the big plastic shield removed - so I would think there should be enough room for the winch and mount to fit in there.

Re: TXT Brushguard on Marathon
I had thought about this also. I dended to build my own when I do the cage. If you check Harbour Freight they occasionally put a winch on sale for 49.95

Yep, got the Harbor Freight winch already! That Grizzly Metalworks bumper looks pretty heavy duty

Re: TXT Brushguard on Marathon
Grizzly Metal Works makes a really fine front brush guard with the built in winch plate. I know because I put one on my EZ-GO TXT about 3 years ago. If I were you I would just call 'em and ask. They are very knowledgeable about the different types of carts and what does and does not fit. When I called to order one they ask for a picture of my cart. Well, my cart happens to have the front cowl of a "ST" Model and that requires a different shape of brush guard. I'm glad they ask because if not, the guard they would have sent would not have fit.

Re: TXT Brushguard on Marathon
My 2000 TXT with the ST model front end "sporting" the Grizzly roll cage and Grizzly brush guard which BTW fits perfectly in front of the Jakes 6" long travel front suspension kit. Warne winch nicley tucks into brush guard as well!! |
